Resource Scotland has been asked to source and select candidates for a number of posts for a subsidiary company of the largest privately owned construction PLC in the UK. Working throughout Scotland these posts involve high profile projects in the Health, Education and Private sectors over the next three to five years.

Experienced construction professionals with M&E technical background required for a number of contracts. Working on a project you will manage the M&E installation to the client’s satisfaction and ensure the company makes a profit with the required quality of delivery.
Duties include - ensuring cost control by works getting carried out within budget, by controlling labour and material expenditure, price and invoice works and variations, control sub contractors and ensure payments are made on time; planning works within the programme; resource labour properly; ensuring quality installation; monitor out goings and income and protect company’s interests; properly trained staff understand what is required, develop said staff , understand their problems and maintain good morale; works are to the clients satisfaction; regular communication with client; understand clients business and problems; advise client if problems are looming; win clients next job.

You should have excellent people and communication skills with the ability to produce monthly status and financial reports, appraise staff and recommend improvements through reporting procedures. Commercial awareness and the ability to drive profits from contracts are essential along with knowledge of contract law, design and computer skills.
