Resource Scotland has been asked to source and select candidates for a number of posts for a subsidiary company of the largest privately owned construction PLC in the UK. The company is one of the UK's principal building services providers, delivering innovative, high quality, lifecycle solutions for their customers. Working throughout Scotland these posts involve high profile projects in the Health, Education and Private sectors over the next three to five years.

Quantity Surveyors are required for newly awarded contracts and future business. You will be required to work within a dynamic organisation, to produce the best possible financial contractual outcomes by effective use of company reports, contract conditions and team liaisons.

You will be working on Design & Build projects in the Health, Education, Residential, Commercial and Industrial sectors throughout Scotland. You will be contractually aware with an understanding of contract law with experience of issuing notifications, managing subcontractors, monitoring cash flow and cost control.

You should have experience of measuring work, pricing work and producing/monitoring Applications and Final Accounts and checking agreed sub-contract Applications and Final Accounts. In addition duties include compiling budgets, dealing with procurement of sub contractors, liaising with clients, managing financial issues, preparing and agreeing valuations, finalising accounts and preparing cost value reconciliations.

A qualified Surveyor with knowledge of building services contracts, you will have excellent communication and presentational skills, and you will be IT competent and an analytical approach with the ability to work to deadlines and a flexible/adaptable approach to work. As team player you will liaise with other team members at meetings, delegate work to and supervise subordinates and maintain excellent working relation ships with the client/design team.
