Senior Quantity Surveyor – Piling - RES / 655

Resource Scotland has been asked to source and select candidates for a number of posts for a subsidiary company of the largest privately owned construction PLC in the UK. The company is the UK's second largest piling contractor.

Working throughout Scotland these posts involve high profile projects in the Health, Education and Private sectors over the next three to five years.

Excellent remuneration packages are available for the right people including car or car allowance, medical care, pension, good holiday and a project related bonus scheme.The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will be based in our client’s office in Manchester with responsibility for managing the quantity surveying teams on sites. The projects will be a cross section of pilling contracts on construction, utilities, and civils works valued between £50,000 and £5 million.

 

As the Senior Quantity Surveyor you will need to trouble shoot problems and help manage the quantity surveyors on the smaller sites. Each month you will need to compile a cost report for the regional area and discuss how the sites and contracts are developing with the Commercial lead.

My client is looking for someone with drive to develop within the company and who will have the chance in a year to develop further within the international construction group. Ideally you will need man management and contract vetting skills and enjoy working in a smaller specialist section of a larger company.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Senior Quantity Surveyor to develop their career within one of the top contractors in the UK. You should be Degree qualified, with a BSc Quantity Surveying or related subject is desirable and with RICS status an advantage, although support will be given for this.

With a Contractor background (either main or specialist with ideally 10 + years experience in Quantity Surveying civils, construction and a proven track record of significant experience in piling.

On offer is an excellent salary of C£45,000 - £50,000 per Annum, Pension Scheme, Health Care and bonus scheme.
